President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, has touched down in Astana, Kazakhstan, on November 2 for a working visit. His arrival comes ahead of the tenth summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), where the leaders of participating countries will convene to discuss and deliberate on a range of vital issues.
The official delegation led by President Zhaparov includes key members of his government, including Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Kazakhstan, Dushekiev, Minister of Economics and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev, Minister of Emergency Situations Bobs of the Azhikeev, and Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Policy of the Presidential Administration, Talgat Ashirbekov.
Upon landing at the Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport, President Zhaparov was warmly received by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, underscoring the warmth and cordial relations between the two nations.
The primary focus of this visit is President Zhaparov's participation in the upcoming OTS summit, scheduled for November 3. The summit will see leaders from Turkic nations come together to address a range of pressing issues on the organization's agenda. An anticipated outcome of the summit is the approval of the Astana Act, which will outline key areas of multilateral cooperation among member states.
The summit will also witness the approval of the final declaration, summarizing the key objectives and accomplishments of the event. The Organization of Turkic States is a regional organization comprised of countries with Turkic-speaking populations, aiming to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including trade, culture, and politics.
Meanwhile, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan is also set to embark on a working visit to Astana, Kazakhstan, from November 2 to 3. This visit comes as an invitation from President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and is in line with efforts to facilitate Uzbekistan's participation in the Council of Heads of State meeting of the Organization of Turkic States, underlining the organization's importance in fostering regional unity and shared goals among its member states.
