Within the framework of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, a momentous event took place as the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was presented with the prestigious "Highest Order of the Turkic World." This esteemed accolade was awarded in recognition of President Mirziyoyev's outstanding contributions to strengthening the unity of the Turkic peoples and actively advancing the interests of Turkic countries on the international stage.
The award ceremony saw the participation of esteemed leaders from various Turkic nations. Notable figures present included President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyz Republic, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary, and the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The Highest Order of the Turkic World was presented to President Mirziyoyev by President Tokayev on behalf of the leaders of the Organization of Turkic States.
During the award ceremony, President Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude, remarking;
"I see this award as a symbol of our close friendship and cooperation, which is growing on the basis of true fraternal ties."
He went on to emphasize the strengthening bonds between Turkic nations and their shared objectives.
It was noted that the influence and potential of the Turkic world have been on a steady rise. Since Uzbekistan became a member of the Organization of Turkic States in 2019, the country has actively promoted over 50 proposals and initiatives aimed at fostering friendship, good neighborliness, and multilateral cooperation among Turkic nations.
Under Uzbekistan's leadership within the organization, more than 100 diverse events have been organized, paving the way for innovative mechanisms of practical cooperation and nurturing close partnership relations with influential global and regional structures.
The multifaceted and mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and other member states have seen remarkable expansion. Strategic partnerships have been established, trade volumes have increased, and cooperation has deepened, all contributing to the strengthening of the Organization of Turkic States.
"All of our dreams and goals, aspirations and actions are harmonious and congruent. Our Turkic peoples, who have been friends and brothers since time immemorial, will continue to stand united and build a bright future together," President Mirziyoyev stated.
