Uzbekistan's athletes, Safina Sadullaeva and Svetlana Radzivil, have added more medals to their country's tally at the Asian Games in China.
As of now, Uzbekistan has won a total of 50 medals (14 gold, 15 silver, and 21 bronze) at the Asian Games, placing the nation in fifth position in the overall medal standings.
According to the National Olympic Committee's press service, on October 3, Safina Sadullaeva clinched the gold medal in the high jump competition, while Svetlana Radzivil, a three-time champion at these games, secured a silver medal.
Reflecting on her performance, Svetlana Radzivil said, "These are my fifth Asian Games. I'm a three-time champion at the Asian Games, and now I've taken second place. But I'm very happy that the top two spots belong to Uzbekistan. I've passed the torch to Safina, our young girl, so that we can continue to win in the future. Not just in high jump but in all events."
