Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has formally accepted an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin for an official visit to Russia, scheduled for October 5-7, Presidential Press Service has reported.
According to the visit program, the leaders of the two countries will engage in discussions in Moscow. President Mirziyoyev will also hold talks with the Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin.
The upcoming meetings are scheduled to address various aspects of bilateral cooperation, focusing on strengthening strategic partnership and alliance in trade, economy, investments, migration, and humanitarian areas.
Additionally, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to visit the Republic of Tatarstan, where he will meet with Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev previously participated in the unofficial summit of heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, which took place in St. Petersburg, Russia, on October 7, 2022, at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin.
