During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the longstanding relationship between Uzbekistan and the United Nations. Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed the nation's profound appreciation for the UN's unwavering support of Uzbekistan's comprehensive reform agenda. This agenda aims to create an environment that is conducive to the prosperity and well-being of the Uzbek people, while also advancing the globally endorsed Sustainable Development Goals.

The comprehensive reform agenda is a testament to Uzbekistan's dedication to promoting good neighborly relations and fostering peace on a global scale. The nation has consistently showcased its commitment to upholding international peace and security, and the meeting served as a platform to reaffirm this commitment.

In addition to discussing regional and global matters, Minister Saidov took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt congratulations to Kaha Imnadze. Imnadze was recently appointed as the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative and Head of the Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia. Minister Saidov conveyed his best wishes for Imnadze's success in his new and pivotal role.

The discussions held during the meeting emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation in addressing pressing global challenges. Both Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Assistant Secretary-General Miroslav Jenča acknowledged the significance of fostering collaboration among nations to ensure a safer and more prosperous world.

This meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the UN Assistant Secretary-General underscores the shared commitment to diplomacy, peace, and sustainable development. As Uzbekistan continues its journey toward progress and prosperity, such partnerships will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping the nation's future on the global stage.
