In a bid to enhance educational and migration ties, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Torobaev, held a productive meeting with Germany's Special Commissioner for Migration Agreements, Joachim Stamp. The discussions centered around vital matters of education, migration, and visas, with Kyrgyzstan earnestly requesting Germany's assistance in streamlining the visa issuance process for prospective students and workers.
During the meeting, the Kyrgyz delegation extended an invitation to the German authorities to explore measures that could make the process of obtaining visas for educational and employment purposes more accessible. Both sides emphasized the significance of expanding bilateral cooperation to facilitate smoother and more efficient exchanges between the two nations.
One of the key points of deliberation was the potential signing of an agreement between the governmental bodies of Kyrgyzstan and Germany, specifically focusing on the issuance of visas for work and study.
Highlighting the commitment to this collaborative effort, it was disclosed that Kyrgyzstan is set to send 40 students to the Bavarian region of Germany in September 2023. These students will partake in vocational education programs spanning a three-year period, followed by prospects of employment within Germany. The selected fields of study encompass a diverse range, including medicine, information technology, tourism, and construction.
In response, Joachim Stamp, the German Special Commissioner, expressed keen interest in the further progression of Kyrgyz-German cooperation.
