The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on July 31 had a phone call with the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The two sides discussed various ways to expand their countries' cooperation further and strengthen their strategic partnership.
Besides, the presidents expressed satisfaction with the positive progress made in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, as well as regional contacts, and emphasized the importance of promoting new industrial cooperation projects, especially in energy, mining, food, textile, and other sectors.
The two leaders also discussed their upcoming joint activities, including the next Strategic Cooperation Council summit.
In addition, presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan exchanged views on the regional agenda.
