The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan has announced the signing of a new agreement aimed at boosting the human resources potential in the country's industrial sector. The document specifically aims to create job opportunities for Uzbekistan's citizens in Japan and outlines a three-year project, initiated by JICA, to help citizens who want to work in Japan find employment in all fields and directions.
To achieve this goal, the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan led the government delegation and held negotiations with Japan International Cooperation Agency in Tokyo (JICA Tokyo Center) to bring bilateral cooperation to a new level.
A web portal will be launched to display information about the rules of operation in agriculture, care for older people, the hotel industry, catering, and more. This portal will provide information about Uzbekistan's labor potential to potential employers in Japan and ensure citizens' safe and legal involvement in labor migration. Besides, the project will offer assistance in equipping Japanese language and vocational training courses with modern manuals.
Established in 1985, JICA Tokyo is JICA's largest Domestic Office and carries out Knowledge Co-Creation Programs and Citizen Participation Programs in Tokyo and five surrounding prefectures.
Every year, JICA Tokyo prepares various Programs with Government Ministries, local governments, and private institutions, with over 10,000 participants attending JICA's Programs in Japan annually.
