Shavkat Mirziyoyev ratified the bilateral agreement with Tajikistan on the mutual use of the airspace and airfields of state aviation in case of emergency situations.
The document was originally signed on June 10, 2021, in Dushanbe. The Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan adopted the agreement in February 2023, and the Senate approved it in early May.
According to it, in the event of an emergency, the parties have the right to cross the state airspace for a short period of time, to give permission to land at one of their airfields as a reserve.
This document will serve to further ensure flight safety.
