NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Kyiv on April 20, The Kyiv Independent reports.
Stoltenberg's visit was not announced in advance. The president of Ukraine or other officials has not yet given information about the visit.
In February 2023, U.S. President Joe Biden and US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen visited Kyiv.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisida also came to Kyiv in March.
President of Moldova Maia Sandu, Prime Minister of Slovakia Eduard Heger, Prime Minister of Slovenia Robert Golob and Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković visited Ukraine at the end of March as well. They went to the city of Bucha on the occasion of the anniversary of the massacre of civilians.
NATO summit is expected to be held in Vilnius in July. Many members of the alliance are in favor of presenting Ukraine with a "road map" for joining NATO at this meeting. At the same time, the USA, Germany and Hungary expressed their opposition to it.
