As Daryo previously reported, Uzbekistan's Acting Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov visited Hungary as the Central Asian country has recently established its embassy in Budapest.
As part of his visit to the country in Central Europe, the head of the governmental department on March 27-28 held talks with his Hungarian colleague Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Economic Development Márton Nagy, Chairman and Executive Director of the bank OTP Bank Group by Sandor Chanyi, Chief Executive Officer of Gedeon Richter Gábor Orbán, the Secretary General of the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev. Furthermore, the Acting Foreign Minister wished Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev success in the upcoming meeting of OTS Energy Ministers in Hungary.

The talks discussed the current state and prospects for developing bilateral ties and cooperation within multilateral structures, especially in the trade, economic, and investment spheres. Besides, the sides exchanged views on the schedule of forthcoming joint events.
Also, Acting Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov participated in a business forum opening ceremony organized jointly with the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA), with about 100 entrepreneurs representing more than 60 leading companies in the two countries.
The Uzbekistan delegation also visited Budapest's free economic zone and got acquainted with its business environment.
