The talks between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban continued in an expanded format with the participation of the official delegations of the two countries, the Uzbek President’s press service informs.
The heads of state noted that the volume of mutual trade had increased almost threefold in recent years and agreed to implement a plan to increase bilateral trade to $500mn.
Viktor Orbán noted that Hungary considers Uzbekistan an essential and long-term partner. The rich program of this visit also testifies to the commitment to the comprehensive development of mutual communication.
The parties noted that the successful conclusion of the recently held business forum, that is, signing investment and trade agreements worth more than 1 billion dollars, was a concrete, practical result of effective cooperation.
To facilitate the implementation of the agreements reached, an agreement was reached on opening a diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Budapest.
At the end of the meeting, the leaders of Uzbekistan and Hungary confirmed again that they are determined to strengthen further the friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.
