Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary Abat Faizullayev held talks with Attila Chani, CEO of Bonafarm Group, one of the country's leading agricultural and food production companies, "Dunyo" news agency reports.
The parties discussed the issues of establishing a joint poultry cluster in the Ahangaron district of the Tashkent region.
According to the results of the analysis, to meet the demand, it is possible to establish two large poultry processing plants in Uzbekistan in the next ten years, each with the capacity to produce 60 million chicken meat per year which was discussed with the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov on the eve of a high-level visit to Hungary, and the project of establishing a poultry cluster in the Ohangaron district of the Tashkent region was put forward by the Uzbek side.
The chief executive director of "Bonafarm Group" company expressed interest in this project and announced that the company's working group would go on a practical trip to Uzbekistan in the next few days to study the possibilities of its implementation in detail.
"Bonafarm Group" company was founded in 2009 and unites leading enterprises engaged in agriculture and food products, including animal husbandry, winemaking, fodder cultivation, and production of meat and dairy products. The company's assets amount to $1.9bn, and the turnover is $805mn (2021). Currently, 8,400 employees are working in the company's enterprises.
