Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan Oybek Khamraev and Ambassador of Israel Zehavit Ben Hillel on Friday (March 4) in a meeting expressed their interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation, including in the healthcare system, water management, and finance industries.
Reportedly, in 2022, the trade between Uzbekistan and Israel climbed two-fold compared to the previous year, 2021. With this in mind, the parties agreed to design a joint working group to increase the bilateral trade figures.
Since 2018, the number of enterprises with Israeli capital has surged by 3.5 times. The most successful projects include the production of finished knitwear in the Samarkand region, as well as warehouse, archival, retail racks, and medical equipment in the Tashkent region.
Given the successful experience in implementing joint projects, the parties expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the pharmaceutical, chemical, electrical, textile, agricultural, and food industries, energy, banking, finance, construction, and tourism, as well as in healthcare and water management.
