US President Joseph Biden had a cancerous skin lesion (tissue) removed in February, The White House Physician's official report says.
According to the report, the removed area has healed successfully and no further medical interference is needed. President will be under more dermatological exams as part of his treatment.
This type of skin cancer is reported not to progress as other more severe types, however, have the potential to increase in size, creating more difficulty in removal.
The White House has previously reported that US First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden had two lesions of the same cancer type removed in January.
Joe Biden was announced physically "fit" to serve another term as president. The 80-year-old American leader successfully underwent a three-hour medical examination at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Biden is considering participating in the 2024 Presidential Elections. Age and health are not of concern and do not prevent it.
