As part of the development of interstate diplomacy between Uzbekistan and France, a statue of the great astronomer, scientist, mathematician, and statesman Mirzo Ulugbek was installed on the territory of the French National Institute of Civil Aviation, located in Toulouse, the aerospace capital of Europe, "Dunyo" agency reports.
Uzbek Ambassador Sardor Rustambayev emphasized that this monument is established within the framework of the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Director General of the French National Institute of Civil Aviation Olivier Chansou, in turn, expressed gratitude to the government of Uzbekistan for the statue of Mirzo Ulugbek.
The parties also inspected the "Uzbek garden" established in Toulouse.
Maxim Boyo, the deputy mayor of Toulouse, thanked the government of Uzbekistan for the project to create the "Uzbek Garden". He said that this garden is fully compatible with the beautification and greening policy of France, which has become popular in recent years. He expressed confidence that the unique seedlings of Uzbekistan, planted in the park, will arouse great interest in the public of his country.
