ASIA-Plus reports that Uzbekistan rounded out the top three counties of Central Asia in terms of comparing average monthly salary before tax. From January to September this year, the monthly average wage before tax topped UZS 3.72mn (≈$335), a 24.9% growth compared to the same period in 2021.
The average wage comprises additional payments, incentive payments, compensation payments, personal income tax, and contributions to the trade union fund.
The data was taken from more than 3mn workers in various industries. According to some sources, the rating is based on data from the end of August for Tajikistan, the end of September for Uzbekistan, and the first half of the year for other countries.
