Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank, on Thursday as part of the International Economic Forum in Samarkand, inked agreements worth $600mn.
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Finance and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $500mn loan agreement. ADB will also provide a $3.3mn grant for implementing the Climate Adaptive Water Resources Management in the Aral Sea Basin Sector Project.
The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, the Public-Private Partnership Development Agency, and ADB signed a cooperation agreement to modernize the heat supply system of Bukhara.
The amount of $100mn will be allocated for the implementation of this project that is to be implemented with the consulting support of ADB.
The Ministry of Finance and the International Islamic Trade and Finance Corporation (ITFC) signed a $100mn loan agreement under the budget support project.
