Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili has landed in Uzbekistan. As part of his trip to the republic, Zurab Pololikashvili intends to visit Samarkand, where the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly will be held next year.
Aziz Abduhakimov, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, welcomed the high-ranking guest at the Samarkand International Airport.
UNWTO Secretay-General is to visit the tourist center of Samarkand, the ‘Boqiy Shahar’ complex, and the Congress Hall, where the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly will be held next year.
Pololikashvili will also visit the tourist village ‘Konigil’ and the ‘Silk Road’ International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. In addition, he is expected to deliver a lecture for university students.
