On October 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the President of the Council of Europe Charles Michel at the "Koksaroy" residence after his European counterpart had visited the "New Uzbekistan" park and laid flowers to the Independence Monument.
At the meeting behind closed doors, the Presidents discussed the top issues of further expansion of multilateral cooperation, and international and regional problems.
The sides have expressed unanimous consensus to continue further implementation of democratic renewal and economic reforms in Uzbekistan, first of all, in the fields of innovation, "green" economy, and digitization.
In addition, it was agreed to prepare a "road map" for the implementation of proposals and initiatives put forward by Uzbekistan at the summit in the format of "Central Asia-European Union".
