The meeting, attended by officials from the transport ministries of Uzbekistan and Mongolia, focused on enhancing the efficiency of cross-border road transport and creating favorable conditions for national carriers. The electronic system will simplify the exchange of permits, reducing delays and accelerating the transportation of goods.
Additionally, both sides emphasized the substantial potential for expanding cooperation in the field of international road transport.
In a bid to support this growth, they agreed to double the number of permit forms for 2025, further boosting trade opportunities and logistics capacity.
In 2024, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Mongolia rose by almost 50% and this positive trend has continued into the current year.
Mongolian companies are currently involved in projects in cattle breeding, geology, finance, and medicine across different regions of Uzbekistan.
