The national economy of Kyrgyzstan has made significant strides, with real GDP growth of 9% in both 2022 and 2023. For the first ten months of this year, the country has achieved a growth rate of 9.6%, and Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, expressed confidence that by the fall of next year, Kyrgyzstan will reach at least 11% growth.
"In the last four years, the national economy has doubled, and under the leadership of President Sadyr Japarov, we have seen the size of the consolidated state budget triple. These achievements are a testament to our effective governance and unified efforts," Zhaparov said during a speech at a meeting of the Zhogorku Kenesh.
Zhaparov emphasized that President Sadyr Japarov's leadership has been pivotal in the country's progress. He pointed to the rebuilding of public administration institutions and the elimination of corruption that previously hindered the nation's development.
"The introduction of good governance policies has allowed us to make these strides. The successes we’ve seen so far inspire us and strengthen our resolve to meet the goals set by President Sadyr Japarov," Zhaparov continued. "Our national leader believes that Kyrgyzstan has every opportunity to become one of the thirty most developed countries in the world, and I share his confidence in the achievability of this goal."
Zhaparov emphasized that achieving this vision requires harnessing the full potential of the people and embracing bold, creative reforms. He urged the nation to tackle challenges directly and fearlessly in pursuit of collective success.
The Chairman also highlighted that Kyrgyzstan’s success relies on the active involvement of every citizen in social and economic processes. He concluded, stating that by working together, the nation can create a strong, self-confident, progressive, and prosperous Kyrgyzstan.
