Additionally, they discussed opportunities for Finnish support in education and environmental initiatives, specifically the UN Trust Fund for the Aral Sea.
President Mirziyoyev also met with Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović to explore collaborative projects in trade, cultural exchanges, and tourism. They discussed forming an intergovernmental commission, with its inaugural meeting set for next year in Tashkent, as well as drafting a "road map" to guide investment and economic partnerships in priority sectors.
The head of the state also held talks with Dr. Salim Al-Malik, Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO). Discussions centered on expanding practical cooperation and launching humanitarian projects in Uzbekistan. Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of establishing a national commission dedicated to collaboration with ICESCO, aimed at advancing educational and cultural goals.
