A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan and the Prosecutor's Office of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on November 7, marking a new step in strengthening bilateral legal and law enforcement cooperation.
The MoU was signed following a meeting between Uzbekistan's Prosecutor General Nigmatilla Yuldashev and the Prosecutor General of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib, who visited Uzbekistan at the invitation of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
The meeting, which focused on enhancing legal cooperation, also explored promising areas for future collaboration between the two countries' law enforcement agencies.
During the discussions, Yuldashev shared insights on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, particularly in the socio-economic, judicial, and legal sectors, initiated under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Both officials expressed confidence that the memorandum would serve as a milestone in deepening interdepartmental ties, paving the way for further collaboration between the two countries' judicial bodies.
The agreement signifies a mutual commitment to enhance the effectiveness of legal systems in both nations, fostering stronger diplomatic and law enforcement relations.
