Ambassador Karomiddin Gadoev of Uzbekistan engaged in discussions with Patrick Han, the Director for Development of New and International Markets at the prominent Malaysian company Fraser & Neave Holdings BHD - F&N. The meeting delved into various aspects of collaboration and mutual interests, Dunyo reports.
The Malaysian delegation was briefed on Uzbekistan's Development Strategy for 2022-2026, highlighting ongoing economic reforms, measures to stimulate growth, support for the private sector, and opportunities for foreign investors, along with assurances for the protection of their rights. F&N, recognized as one of Southeast Asia's major food manufacturers, operates across 13 branches in countries such as Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Saudi Arabia. Emphasis was placed on the pivotal role of Central Asian countries, particularly Uzbekistan, in expanding the company's global footprint.
Discussions extended to exploring the potential of a joint investment project leveraging Uzbekistan's existing raw material base and regional specialization. Both parties agreed to facilitate a visit by F&N representatives to Uzbekistan in January, aiming to explore investment opportunities and discuss potential collaborative projects with local partners.
In addition to diplomatic talks, the ambassador and delegation toured the F&N manufacturing plant, gaining insights into the company's production processes. Fraser & Neave, founded in Singapore in 1883, operates key production facilities in Malaysia, specializing in food production with an extensive portfolio of 31 products exported to 93 countries.
