Miahona has announced a step in its international expansion by signing a Development Agreement with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade, along with Uzsuvtaminot Company. This agreement marks a collaborative effort to enhance water and sewage treatment facilities in the Fergana Valley and Jizzakh Region.
The one-year agreement outlines the development of water and sewage treatment plants under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) model, coupled with Enhanced Operations and Maintenance (EOM) services. Miahona plans to explore opportunities for establishing four new sewage treatment plants and will also evaluate five existing operations and maintenance projects in the region.
"This agreement reflects our commitment to delivering sustainable and innovative water solutions,” said a Miahona spokesperson. "We are excited to partner with the Uzbek government to address the pressing needs for improved water infrastructure."
The Development Agreement aims to formalize negotiations regarding a project pipeline for water treatment initiatives, which are crucial for the regions’ environmental and public health objectives. Miahona's approach aligns with its growth strategy in international markets while focusing on sustainable practices.
The financial implications of this agreement will be assessed following a comprehensive due diligence process, ensuring that all aspects are thoroughly evaluated before moving forward.
