President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for a working visit, as confirmed by the press service of the president.
Upon his arrival at Manas International Airport, he was warmly welcomed by Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, along with other officials.
The visit will see President Mirziyoyev participate in the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States, at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov. This gathering will focus on enhancing multilateral cooperation among member states.
The summit's agenda aims to address several key issues, including strengthening political dialogue, advancing trade and investment partnerships, and fostering cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Additionally, the leaders will discuss pressing international and regional matters.
At the conclusion of the summit, the leaders are expected to adopt several joint decisions and documents, which will include the Turkic World Charter, a proposal initiated by Uzbekistan.
