The South Korean Hancom Group, a leading innovator in creating technology ecosystems, has announced its commitment to assist Uzbekistan in the development of digital education. This announcement follows a meeting between representatives of the Hancom Academy division and the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan.
Introduction of Smart Classrooms
During the negotiations, the parties discussed plans to introduce “smart classrooms” in the republic. A smart classroom is a learning space enhanced with educational technology, designed to improve the teaching and learning experience.
Digital Technology Training Centers in Khorezm Region
Hancom Academy will equip the first 20 classrooms in digital technology training centers in the Khorezm region this year. The plan is to extend these centers to all regions of Uzbekistan by the end of 2027.
Curriculum and Training
The classrooms will be used for classes in application development, artificial intelligence, English, and Korean. The curriculum will be provided by Hancom Academy itself.
The program is designed to train youth in technology skills that are in demand in local and international markets. Hancom will also provide advanced training for teachers, including course graduates.
