In a significant achievement, the Business Development Bank was officially granted the ISO 37001:2016 certification for its robust anti-bribery management system on December 28, 2023. This certification stands as a clear testament to the institution's unwavering dedication to transparency, trust, and the adoption of ethical business practices.
The ISO 37001:2016 certification is a standard designed to assist organizations in preventing, detecting, and addressing bribery within their operations. This accomplishment is attained through the establishment and implementation of an anti-bribery policy, the appointment of a designated individual to oversee anti-bribery compliance, comprehensive training programs, risk assessments, due diligence procedures on projects and business associates, the enforcement of financial and commercial controls, and the institution of robust reporting and investigation procedures.
Expressing her pride in this milestone, Dilbar Gulmukhamedova, Head of Financial Institutions, shared on her LinkedIn post, "We are proud to have taken this step to combat corruption and demonstrate our commitment to stamping out bribery."
Earlier this year it was reported that the "Qishloq Qurilish Bank" will be transformed into the "Biznesni Rivojlantirish Banki" (namely, Business Development Bank), announced President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during an open dialogue with entrepreneurs on August 18.
