Wildberries, the popular online marketplace, is set to introduce a new feature allowing customers to cancel their orders immediately after placing them.
This move aims to provide users with greater control over their purchases, enabling them to reject unintended or excess items and correct delivery addresses promptly. Currently, customers must email sales@wildberries.ru to cancel orders, but the upcoming cancel button will simplify and expedite this process, vc.ru reported.
Scheduled to debut in January 2024 on the Wildberries website and mobile app, the cancel button can be utilized within the first hour of ordering or before the seller initiates the assembly process. Initially, this feature will be available for customers opting for payment after delivery, constituting over 80% of the marketplace's user base. The testing phase will involve sellers who manage their own warehouses.
In the subsequent stages, the cancellation function will be extended to cover all products and customer categories. Should the cancel button be unavailable for a specific delivery, customers can still reject the goods upon delivery or follow the site's return procedures.
Wildberries has been implementing additional features to enhance user experience, including an order confirmation function in its application since October. This extra layer of confirmation, involving a PIN code or biometrics, helps prevent accidental purchases.
Earlier Daryo reported that during the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum, Wildberries' Spot GR manager in Uzbekistan, Sardor Kadyrov, revealed a substantial reduction in delivery times for Uzbek products to Russia.
