The report of press service of the president of Uzbekistan has underscored the need to expand the hospitality sector by increasing the number of hotels and guest houses.
To facilitate this, a new tourism center is set to be established in various neighborhoods, including "Kumushkon," "Hisarak," "Soqoq," "Boshqizilsoy," "Changi," "Zarkent," and "Boykazon" in Parkent. Additionally, initiatives are underway to formulate a master plan for tourism hotspots in Khanabad City, Boysun, Bakhmal, Forish, Angren, and Ohangaron.
A substantial allocation of $30mn has been approved for the improvement of infrastructure at key tourist destinations like Omonkhona and Maidanak. Furthermore, an additional UZS 200bn ($16.1mn) will be directed towards enhancing road infrastructure leading to these tourist attractions.
This comprehensive approach not only focuses on road repairs but also includes the development of complex services surrounding these routes. For every road undergoing renovation to a tourist destination, entrepreneurs will be provided with master plans for establishing trade and service stations. The initiative aims to create convenient routes for residents and tourists, introduce public transport options, and organize hostels and guest houses, fostering a holistic tourism experience.
