The revelation emerged during a meeting between Umid Shadiev, Chairman of the Committee on Tourism of Uzbekistan, and Lina Zhong, the head of the Chinese Academy of Tourism and Culture. The high-stakes negotiations unfolded in the city of Beijing.
As to insights shared by the official portal uzbektourism.uz, the Uzbek delegation was afforded a firsthand look at the cutting-edge Tourism Big Data Platform, a pioneering initiative by the Chinese Academy of Tourism and Culture. This platform boasts an extensive array of features, providing access to over 300 indicators and 140 indices for real-time online monitoring and assessment of China's dynamic tourism industry.
The meeting yielded a pivotal decision, culminating in an agreement to replicate a similar state-of-the-art platform in Uzbekistan. The platform is intended to undergo rigorous testing to evaluate its capabilities in monitoring and assessing the status of the burgeoning tourism industry within the country.
The proposed platform is anticipated to revolutionize the way authorities gather and analyze data, offering a comprehensive and data-driven approach to decision-making in the realm of tourism.
