The President's message highlights the importance of recognizing the challenges faced by persons with disabilities and promoting their rights and well-being in all spheres of society and development.
According to the President, there are 212,000 citizens with disabilities in Kyrgyzstan, including over 37,000 children. Despite the challenges they face, citizens with disabilities are people with an iron will, indomitable courage, and an optimistic worldview. They work tirelessly in any field and achieve considerable success, making them the pride of Kyrgyzstan.
The President emphasized that Kyrgyz society is wise and knows how to correctly accept disease as fate, treat people with disabilities with respect and understanding, and provide comprehensive social support to its citizens with disabilities. The state is making efforts to meet the needs of compatriots with disabilities and protect their rights.
The task of ensuring their participation in the social, economic, and political life of the country continues to be implemented. Efforts are being made to increase the amount of social benefits provided to them, improve the quality of social services, and create maximum conditions for improving their living environment.
The President's appeal also aims to convey to the general public that people with disabilities are full-fledged citizens of the republic. The traditions of mutual assistance are in the blood of Kyrgyz people, and treating people with disabilities with respect and understanding is a great value and a characteristic feature coming from our ancestors from ancient times. The President calls on Kyrgyz people to be kind, friendly, caring, and attentive to their fellow citizens in need of support and assistance.
