The official visit of Iranian President Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi to Tajikistan, initially scheduled for November 7-8, has been rescheduled to November 8-9, according to an official source within the Tajik president's press service.
The reasons for the postponement were not disclosed. On the morning of November 9, President Raisi is set to leave Dushanbe for Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to participate in the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
During his visit, President Raisi is expected to hold talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, address an extended format meeting, and participate in a Tajik-Iranian Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry event taking place from November 7 to 12.
This marks President Raisi's second visit to Tajikistan, following his initial visit on September 16, 2021, to participate in an SCO meeting.
