Kyrgyzstan is set to reduce its domestic public debt by declaring the law on the restoration and protection of savings of citizens of the country's citizens as invalid. This law concerns the deposits made by citizens before the country's independence.
As stated by the Deputy Minister of Finance, an allocation of KGS 500,000 from the republic's budget has been designated and transferred to "RSK Bank" to cover the guaranteed funds related to these deposits.
Notably, there have been no claims or requests for the disbursement of these funds. Therefore, the proposal to declare the aforementioned law as null and void has been put forth.
The Budget, Economic, and Fiscal Policy Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh has endorsed this bill in the second reading.
Earlier, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan conducted tests of Akinji and Aksungur attack drones purchased from Turkey, according to reports from Sputnik. These tests were overseen by President Sadir Japarov and the head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchibek Tashiyev, and took place at the "Edelweiss" military training ground.
