Uzbekistan and Dagestan are actively collaborating on various initiatives, including the establishment of a shared textile enterprise, as Uzbekistan aims to bolster interregional trade and economic cooperation with Dagestan, TASS reports.
During a meeting between Botir Zaripov, the mayor of the Bukhara region, and Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, the head of the Dagestan government, numerous ideas were discussed. One of these ideas pertains to the reciprocal opening of trading houses to showcase the products of both regions.
Abdulmuslimov expressed support for this proposal and mentioned that Dagestan has innovative product concepts to offer. Additionally, there is interest in setting up a store featuring Uzbekistani products in Makhachkala.
The discussions also delved into the prospect of mutual agricultural product exchanges. Uzbekistan is exploring avenues for supplying items such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, meat, eggs, dairy products, and more.
Furthermore, the possibility of collaborative production ventures was explored, with a particular focus on the establishment of a textile enterprise shared between Uzbekistan and Dagestan. The government of the republic's press service confirmed that initial agreements in this regard have already been reached.
Prior to this meeting, Abdulmuslimov held discussions with Laziz Kudratov, the head of the Ministry of Investments, Innovation and Trade, during which they identified opportunities for cooperation in rice processing and suggested the creation of joint enterprises.
