The International Forum "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan", organised by the industry's state corporations, has begun its work in Ashgabat. The British company Gaffney Cline assisted in the preparation of the event, which will end on 27 October.
The purpose of the energy forum, which has gathered more than 700 delegates from 46 countries, is to expand opportunities for attracting foreign direct investment in Turkmenistan's oil and gas industry, according to the press release.
The programme is devoted to discussing the country's investment opportunities, the diversification of its energy routes, the development of the gas chemical industry, the development of the large Galkynysh gas field and the Caspian shelf, as well as the transition of the local economy to green energy.
