Uzbekistan's government has approved new rules for passengers to abide by in the local metro, Legal Information channel informs.
To ride the metro, passengers must have a valid ticket or a document granting travel privileges. Passengers and their luggage can be inspected by law enforcement. Those acting suspiciously may undergo personal searches. Passengers who refuse to have their luggage checked will not be allowed to enter the metro.
Certain activities are prohibited in the metro, such as using flammable or explosive materials, constructing entertainment venues, and starting fires near metro facilities. Gas-powered vehicles and vehicles with combustible materials are not allowed under overpass structures.
In the metro, it is also forbidden to consume alcohol or drugs, smoke, enter without proper clothing (without shoes or naked), bring items that may dirty the carriages, and perform acrobatics or sports exercises.
Passengers have specific rights, including carrying certain items for free, using metro facilities for people with disabilities, taking photos and videos, and carrying luggage within specified dimensions (luggage with a sum of three dimensions of 200cm: width - 60cm, length - 70cm, height - 70cm). Children under the age of seven are allowed to use the metro free of charge.
