In August, Uzbekistan exported $75.27mn of natural gas to China, according to the data of the General Customs Administration of China, media reports.
The country resumed the export of natural gas in April, with the volume of deliveries increasing monthly until July.
However, total gas exports since the beginning of the year amounted to $370.57mn, which is 1.6 times less than the same period last year due to the suspension of gas exports in January-March amid an energy crisis.
In August 2022, gas supply increased to $112.28mn.
Uzbekistan exported $377.9mn of gas in eight months, 42.1% less than last year.
Russia led gas supply to China, followed by Turkmenistan, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Kazakhstan.
Data on gas exports from Uzbekistan and China differ, with China accounting for the transit of Turkmen gas.
