According to STV, the opening of a bar street recently took place in Samarkand. The establishments on this street will be open around the clock for visitors.
This project aims not only to attract local residents but also tourists. Currently, several venues operate on Pub Street, with plans to increase their number to 32 in the future.
Rustam Kobilov, Deputy Governor of the Samarkand Region, mentioned that the idea for this initiative emerged due to the influx of Russian tourists.
It's worth noting that law enforcement officers and security firms will be present to ensure safety on the street.
Earlier, Daryo reported that the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, is gearing up to host a significant global investment forum organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in conjunction with its 25th General Assembly session taking place from October 16 to 20.
