The Second Western Military District Court in the West has found Husanzhon Osimi guilty of committing an act of international terrorism. On September 5, 2022, Osimi carried out a suicide bombing at the entrance to the consular section of the Russian Embassy building in Kabul. This information was reported by the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.
Since Osimi's close relatives did not agree with the termination of the case due to his death, according to Russian legislation, the court considered his criminal case. "The court established that Osimi adhered to the ideology of the international terrorist organization the 'Islamic State'.
No later than September 5, 2022, he became a member of this organization's unit in Afghanistan. On September 5, 2022, in Kabul, Osimi carried out a suicide bombing at the entrance to the consular section of the Russian Embassy building using an explosive device," the Prosecutor General's Office noted. As a result of the attack, two embassy employees, both Russian citizens, were killed.
Osimi's actions were classified under Part 2 of Article 205.5 and Part 3 of Article 361 of the Russian Criminal Code (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization and the commission of an act of international terrorism).
"The court has found Osimi guilty of committing the crimes attributed to him. The criminal case has been terminated due to his death," the prosecutor's office stated.
