The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tel Aviv recently facilitated an online discussion between Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy and Deputy General Directors of the Israeli Electric Corporation (IEC), Yitzhak Balmas and Tamar Fekler.
The meeting centered around establishing a mutually beneficial partnership between the entities responsible for electricity generation and delivery to consumers and the exchange of advanced Israeli experience with Uzbekistan. The parties also delved into the expansion of exports to the country.
The Israeli side was provided with detailed information on reforms and projects implemented in the energy sector of Uzbekistan, as well as a presentation of the country's electrical industry.
Agreements were made to facilitate Uzbekistan's participation in tenders and initiate a dialogue between the Ministries of Energy of Uzbekistan and Israel. There was also a discussion on exporting electrical products from Uzbekistan to the Israeli market, with an emphasis on online communication between specialists.
IEC, which produces 75% of Israel's electricity, was founded in 1923 and is 99% owned by the government.
