Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia. The corresponding decree was signed by the country's president.

Turkmenistan and Georgia are interested in expanding bilateral cooperation in such areas as trade, transport, logistics and energy.
Georgia is fully dependent on imports of oil products, and Turkmenistan is one of its main suppliers.
Georgia is also interested in the implementation of the Caspian Sea-Black Sea transit route project initiated by Turkmenistan and Romania. Experts are now studying in detail the issues of freight transport prices, customs duties and trade privileges.
