A memorandum was signed between the "National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan" and Azerenergy, Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reports.
The leadership of the "National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan," based in Azerbaijan, visited power plants, substations, laboratories, a training center, and the Center for Digital Management of the open joint-stock company Azerenergy, and engaged in several meetings.
During these meetings, President of Azerenergy, Baba Rizaev, and other representatives exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the energy systems of both countries.
As a result of the visit, a memorandum was signed between the "National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan" and Azerenergy. The aim of the memorandum is to leverage Azerbaijan's experience in the energy sector and enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy.
The Uzbekistani delegation received detailed information about power plants, substations, the digital management system, and the new SCADA system at Azerenergy. The discussions covered essential aspects necessary for implementing these systems, software, automation, and other related areas.
The memorandum signifies a significant step towards strengthening energy collaboration and sharing expertise between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
Earlier, The Minister of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, announced the commencement of construction for a "green hydrogen" production complex in Uzbekistan, scheduled to begin in August this year.
