The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has sent his warmest congratulations to all his compatriots on the People's Friendship Day.

Uzbekistan is home to over 130 nations and nationalities, who live in peace and harmony, and religious organizations of 16 faiths.
The State also provides schoolchildren with textbooks and literature in their mother tongue, and instruction is available in seven languages.
The President emphasized the importance of Friendship Houses in strengthening ties among citizens of different nationalities and increasing the authority of Uzbekistan.
Cultural and educational events within the festival "Friendship of Peoples" framework broadly affirm the vital principle that "Uzbekistan is our common home."
The President also pledged to continue the policy of strengthening harmony among nations and faiths, ensuring the freedom of conscience of every citizen, and developing civil society institutions.
