The Ministry of Education in Kazakhstan plans to have digitized all textbooks by next year. As of now, the government has reached 80% completion. Digital books have passed state examinations and are included in the educational and methodological complexes list.
Eleven publishing houses in the country have helped develop digital textbooks, and teachers have been given methodological recommendations for innovative teaching methods.
So far, 94% of primary school textbooks, 81% for grades 5-9, and 61% for grades 10-11 have been converted to electronic form.
In addition to e-books, schools in Kazakhstan also use digital educational resources with multimedia content as supplementary teaching materials.
Over 50,000 digital educational resources have been created to date, and more than 6,500 Kazakh schools have been connected to these resources since the beginning of the year.
Over three million students and teachers use digital educational content daily, including over 50,000 video lessons covering all grades.
