Starting next academic year, teaching students in pedagogical specialties at the bachelor's level will be fully funded by the state. Uzbekistan's presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this plan during a meeting with voters in Syrdarya, media reports.

The development of pedagogical education in universities will be approached with a specialized strategy, which includes doubling state-funded quotas for master's programs and implementing targeted state orders for schools with poor education quality.
An incentive program will also be created to encourage young graduates to seek employment in these schools.
According to the recent announcement by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, all kindergarten and school teachers in Uzbekistan would meet higher education qualifications by 2030.
Earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev praised the 18mn young men and women aspiring for tomorrow by gaining knowledge in schools, colleges, technical colleges, and universities, opening their businesses, and fulfilling their duties in the Armed Forces.
The President acknowledged the important role that young people play in various fields, including production, construction, science, education, medicine, culture, literature, art, sports, and modern information technologies.
