The early voting phase of the presidential elections in Uzbekistan has come to an end after taking place from June 28 to July 5. During this period, a significant number of citizens participated in the electoral process, with a total of 376,623 people exercising their right to vote.
Notably, 101,031 individuals residing abroad also had the opportunity to cast their votes, showcasing the efforts made to ensure inclusivity and participation from Uzbek citizens across the globe.
To facilitate the early voting process, a comprehensive infrastructure was established, comprising 10,784 polling stations. These polling stations were strategically arranged to accommodate the needs of the electorate, both within the country and abroad. In particular, 56 polling stations were set up within Uzbekistan, while an additional 39 diplomatic missions were established in various foreign countries.
This approach allowed Uzbek citizens living outside the country to actively engage in the electoral proceedings, ensuring their voices were heard and their votes were counted.
As the election process progresses further, the focus now shifts to the next phase of the elections, including the main voting day which is scheduled for July 9.
