The Pension Fund has responded to some citizens' questions regarding child pensions. According to the information provided by the Fund, along with the application for child benefits and the attached documents, it is necessary to contact the self-government authority at the place of residence of the citizens.
When determining child benefits or financial assistance, it is necessary to clarify that each working-age family member has official sources of income. The recognition of a low-income family based on established criteria and the granting of child benefits or financial assistance, or the refusal to grant them, is carried out automatically through the "Unified Registry of Social Protection" information system.
The provision, approved by the government resolution on October 21, 2021, provides for the receipt of child benefits or financial assistance in cases where the family has a working-age family member who does not have official sources of income, has not approached labor authorities in search of work in the last 6 months, is not registered with labor authorities, is not included in the list of self-employed individuals, or is not considered a participant in paid public work. This requirement of the charter does not apply to mothers taking care of a child until they reach the age of 3 (or those replacing them), families without official sources of income, and those listed in the "Iron notebook" during the last year.
From September 1, 2021, the amount of monthly payments for child pensions is determined as follows:
$22 for one child aged 3 to 18 years;
$28 for one child under 3 years;
$13 as an additional payment for the second child in the family;
From $9 for each third and subsequent child in the family.
"Child penesions are determined based on the number of children in the family," the Pension Fund stated in the message.
