Uzbekistan has taken measures to enhance the welfare of its educators by augmenting their annual vacation entitlements, media reports.
Previously, teachers had a vacation span ranging from 15 to 48 days, but now they will benefit from an increased allocation of 56 days. To facilitate this, an amendment to the Labour Code has been introduced, specifying that Sundays during holidays will be considered paid leave. This amendment has led to a slight decrease in the overall amount of vacation time and financial benefits.
The new decision underscores the government's dedication to establishing a healthy equilibrium between the personal and professional lives of educators while acknowledging their crucial role in shaping the country's education system and future',
the message reads.
